Hydraulic HDPE Pipe Welding Machine
The hydraulic HDPE pipe welding machine is a device specifically designed for butt welding high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes and fittings. HDPE welder uses heat and pressure to melt the contact surfaces of the pipes, then, under controlled pressure and cooling conditions, creates a secure, leak-free connection. How to Use Hydraulic HDPE Pipe Welding Machine?
- 1. Pipe Fixing and Alignment: place the two HDPE pipes to be welded into the frame clamp, fix them through the hydraulic clamping system, and ensure that the two end surfaces are on the same axis.
- 2. End Milling: use an electric milling cutter to cut the end face of the pipe to make it flat and smooth, ensuring a tight fit on the welding surface.
- 3. Heating: a heating plate, preheated to the required temperature (around 200–230°C), is inserted between the pipe ends. The pipe surfaces are evenly heated until they melt.
- 4. Changeover: the heating plate is quickly removed, keeping the molten pipe ends ready for fusion.
- 5. Butt Fusion: under controlled hydraulic pressure, the molten pipe ends are pressed together, allowing the material to fuse and form a homogeneous joint.
- 6. Cooling and Solidification: the pressure is maintained until the joint cools and solidifies, resulting in a strong and durable connection.

The joined pipes must not be placed on the ground immediately after butt fusion welding. The assembly must remain in the machine, with or without pressure as specified by the applicable welding procedure, until the required cooling time has elapsed.
