The Butt Fusion HDPE Pipe Welding Machine is a high-performance, fully mechanical unit designed for precise and reliable jointing of HDPE, PP, and PVDF pipes and fittings across a wide range of pressure ratings. Engineered for both on-site trench work and workshop use, it integrates a robust basic frame, precision milling cutter, fast-heating plate, efficient hydraulic control, and stable support system, ensuring strong, consistent welds with high durability and accuracy.
Groove preparation is the initial step in producing a butt weld. The specific groove type required depends on the joint design. Common groove configurations include V-groove, U-groove, J-groove, bevel butt, square butt, and V-butt. Prior to welding, the metal surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned.
The joint configuration refers to the relative positioning and alignment of the two metal pieces prior to welding. The appropriate configuration depends on factors such as the base metal type, its thickness, and the welding process employed. In a butt joint, the two pieces are aligned in the same plane with no overlap and, typically, a minimal gap between them.
Welding parameters are the configured settings on the welding equipment essential for achieving a sound weld. These include the welding process, travel speed, amperage, and voltage. Regularly clean the breaker contacts with sandpaper and dress the electrodes by filing. Periodically tighten all screws in the secondary circuit to prevent overheating. The cooling water temperature should not exceed 40°C, and drainage must comply with specified requirements.
During butt welding, longer steel bars should be supported properly. Personnel handling the bars must take care to avoid spark burns. Be cautious when transporting recently welded materials, as the weld zone remains hot. The flash zone must be shielded, and unauthorized personnel are prohibited from entering during welding operations.
